Clobotics, founded in November 2016 by former Microsoft executives, is a computer vision technology-based company located in Shanghai, Seattle and Denmark focused on providing the world’s most advanced end-to-end solutions for enterprise customers. Clobotics is looking for a full-time (or possibly initially part-time) Wind Business Development Manager to help us launch our state-of-the-art blade inspection service in North America and help make wind power more and more cost competitive. The position is based in Seattle, Washington or a location convenient for travel around the country.


This position will work closely with the General Manager to:

  • Build the North American deal pipeline for Clobotics’ blade inspection offering
  • Identify and research high potential customers and build account plans and strategies for each
  • Present the company and our inspection offering to potential customers and partners
  • Negotiate deals to win business and maximize revenue for the company
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and events
  • Work closely with marketing and the product team to ensure the company has the product and messaging to ensure success with customers
  • Champion customer needs inside the company to ensure high customer satisfaction with Clobotics
  • Collect intelligence on competitors and communicate that back to the product team and management
  • Hire and manage additional staff as the business grows


  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience post college
  • Experience and contacts in the North American wind industry
  • Previous sales or business development experience or at least business training
  • Confident engaging with clients at all levels, building strong relationships and communicating effectively from initial inquiry to project completion
  • Able to manage own time effectively, track performance against financial and operational targets
  • Confident and capable of presenting / pitching new technologies and solutions
  • Perceptive, collaborative and strongly customer-oriented with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation
  • Flexible, energetic, with a strong sense of entrepreneurship
  • Resourceful: able to fend for oneself and accomplish tasks without a big support infrastructure
  • Handle stressful situations and deadline pressures well
  • Willingness to travel as much as needed, as conditions allow


  • Experience/contacts in the Operations & Maintenance part of the wind industry
  • Experience working in multi-national companies and doing business around the world

Compensation Range: $70-90K/year
