Brazil is one of the five largest wind markets in the world and growing fast.

In the last decade, Brazil has gone from 2.5 GW of installed wind power capacity in 2012 to 22 GW in 2022.

Since 2017, ArthWind has helped wind site managers use inspection data to drive their maintenance decision making. As Vladimir from Serra das Vacas wind farm puts it, “high quality images – collected rapidly — are essential to making the right repair decisions for our fleet”.

When Armando Costa Rego, Founder of ArthWind, saw inspection demand accelerating, he knew he needed a reliable, high-volume platform for collecting, organizing and analyzing thousands of wind turbine inspections per year. That’s when he turned to Clobotics.

Two years ago, we started talking to ArthWind about how our Clobotics IBIS™ technology might help them scale up visual blade inspections in Brazil, the 4th largest wind market in the world. Fast forward to February 2023 when they completed their 5,000th wind turbine inspected using our Drone as a Service offering, which utilises a customized DJI M300 drone!

We hope you enjoy the video, please don’t hesitate to contact us if you want to learn more about our technology or service offerings.
